Vent valves are pressure-relief and flow-control devices used to regulate air and fluid pressure within aircraft fuel, hydraulic, pneumatic, and environmental control systems, encompassing poppet, butterfly, and reed valve configurations manufactured from aluminium alloys, titanium, and PEEK, with actuation via solenoid, mechanical, or differential-pressure mechanisms to maintain specified differential pressure limits and prevent over-pressurisation.
