Enhanced Vision Systems (EVS) integrate forward-looking infrared (FLIR) sensors, millimetre-wave (MMW) radar, and image fusion processors to augment pilot situational awareness during low-visibility operations, with sensor outputs typically overlaid onto a head-up display (HUD) or synthetic vision system (SVS) to present a real-time, conformal image of the external environment aligned with flight instruments.
