Control dampers are mechanical flow-regulation devices used within aircraft environmental control systems (ECS), bleed-air ducting, and pressurisation circuits to modulate or shut off airflow through defined passages. They encompass butterfly, sliding-plate, and split-flap valve configurations manufactured from titanium, aluminium alloy, or CRES steel, with actuation via electromechanical or pneumatic drives to achieve precise pressure and temperature zoning.
