Engine primers are fuel-delivery devices that introduce a metered charge of aviation fuel directly into the engine induction system or cylinders to facilitate cold-start ignition, covering hand-operated and electrically actuated primer assemblies, primer valves, lines, and nozzles manufactured to FAA TSO and EASA standards using corrosion-resistant alloys and fuel-compatible elastomeric seals.
