Position Indicators

Position indicators encompass cockpit-mounted instruments and associated electronics that display the discrete or continuous positional state of aircraft mechanical systems — including flight control surfaces, landing gear, flap and slat actuators, thrust reversers, and trim tabs — using resolvers, LVDTs, RVDTs, Hall-effect sensors, and synchro-to-digital conversion circuitry to translate mechanical displacement into calibrated visual indications.
